The most of the american teenagers of our High School play some sport. They spent their afternoons playing sports.

Soccer is famous at the girls, more than atthe boys, that prefer play american football or hockey (like my host brother and all of his family). Girls also play volley or cheerleading.

They train many days and they also have two or more games every week.

Generally is extange see a teenager that don’t wear a sweater or a t-shirt of his team.

New York I

23/Oct/2007 at 15:44 (New York)

We left the High School at 7.00. After the trip we went to Rockefeller Centre and the 5th avenue, where we went to see Central Park and some famous shops like NBA store, Disney… and of course we bought the typical shirts of “I love NY”.

In the evening we went to see the “Flatiron” building, the “Empire State”, the “Ground Zero”, the “Dakota” building, the place where John Lennon was killed and the mosaic of Imagine dedicated to him.

At night we went to Times Square, that was spectacular with all the lights on the buildings. We also went to see the Mary Poppins’ musical.

Television

20/Oct/2007 at 20:02 (Television)

TV here is strange. They have more than 300 channels and they can’t know all that there are in all of them. And I’m sure that they don’t use a half of these channels.

They have a lot of programs taht we also have in Spain, like ‘CSI’, ‘Family Guy’ or ‘Sponge Bob’. And as well as in Spain, they always see their favorite sport, the beisbol games of their local team, the ‘Red Sox’.

Another difference with Spain is that they don’t often see the TV in family.

Last Wednesday we went to Boston to see the basketball game Boston Celtics vs New York Knicks. I’m a great basketball fan and I enjoyed so much with the game. Moreover, our team, Boston Celtics, won 101-61. It was very excited, the oathn of the flag, the enormous sport hall and the spectacle offered by the players. After the game we went to Boston Celtics’ store, but all was very expensive.
